Not if it’s on a public street. Scientologists love to lie about this though, saying it’s illegal to film without permission, when ironically they do it themselves.
If somebody takes a photo on a public street for profit, that might be a different issue altogether however, and that might be illegal.

They would absolutely love it if you assaulted them. they would use the footage from the other cameras they have near the property, call the police on you and charge you with assault, and cry to the rest of the world in an edited video saying how Scientologists are an example of religious persecution, and will call you a religious bigot.

None of the mainstream religions practice and encourage anything to the extent fair game is applied. The majority of these religions do not apply fairgame tactics as institutionalized policies;Scientology does.

This would have been an excellent documentation of Scientology harassment – but it’s a shame about the music throughout. It just detracts from the subject matter.
